Most of these deals also have incentives where he'll have to reach certain innings pitched to get that money and on top of that it's only a one year deal.

He might not be the closer but his stuff is just as good as Jansen's. Closers get all the credit but what good does having a good closer do if you can't get him the ball. A good setup men is just as valuable if not more valuable than a closer. Setup men are put in tougher situations with runners on and no room for errors closers usually come in with no runners on.
At least they didn't commit for 10 years with a guy like Cano for an insane amount of money. The name of the game is pitching if you've noticed ever since they cleaned out the sport for ped's no one can hit in the postseason.
