True. The thing was though Henin seemed to be that one player that could actually compete and beat Serena on a consistent basis and at the slams.

Steffi Graf is still the best women's player ever IMO. 22 grand slam titles and 31 grand slam final appearances is just unreal. Plus she won the year grand slam I think twice. Serena though is the most athletic and talented off all time. It's gonna be hard for her to catch Graf's accomplishments.

Henin had the women's game on lock for quite a while, no-one came close to her now that she retired the women's game is quite simply a joke. You've got world no.1s who have never even won a grand slam and the Williams sisters are not dominating as most people expect.

To me, Justine Henin is pound for pound best female tennis player of her generation.
