    A) Didn't happen. City lost those games due to **** defending.
    B) We're talking about technical ability, not 'bullying'. Bullying is the exact opposite debate to what's happening here.

Yaya is a world class technical footballer off either foot.
Yaya Toure was shipped out from Barcelona because he had poor defensive understanding for the defensive midfield role and because he wasn't technically good enough to get into a CM slot.

Toure was excellent in the Premier League because it's a physical league, his power mixed with good shooting ability and two good feet was perfect for the league. However his passing is hit and miss, his dribbling and control are average, he is a defensive liability, he was often out of his depth and anonymous in Europe.

Paul Pogba is far beyond Yaya Toure as a player; technically, defensively, versatility and just in general.

There's honestly no point of discussing this cos it's descending into pure hyperbole. I question whether someone who'd call Yaya's dribbling or control 'average' has ever actually watched a match he's played in.

We're going down the 'shipped out' route? Pogba was shipped out of Utd cos Rafael was deemed a better CM option than he was at the time.

Defensively Pogba is the same lazy bastard Yaya is, that's why he always has to have runners playing with him. He's lucky that he's always had great box to box players round him in packed midfields, Yaya in that sense has been hung out to dry in static 2-man midfields.

Right now Pogba is the better player. Yaya is on his last legs. Prime Yaya? Arguably the most consistently influential midfielder in PL history. We'll see if Pogba can reach those heights. I'm done for now.

        • Hazard as a cf (w/ Costa or Batshuayi) is going to be interesting.

          Potential is high there.

            Come on

Toure was sold by Barca in his prime because he was a reserve player. Ferguson offered Pogba a new deal, Pogba chose to leave.

Pogba's defensive work with Juventus is tremendous. Tactically, physically and mentally he is excellent in holding his shape, closing space and tracking. He had Pirlo in midfield with him, the furthest thing from box to box.

Toure just doesn't attempt to defend. When you don't have the ball, you're playing with 10.

            • Must be hard as an Arsenal fan to hear the likes of Jamie ****in Vardy snub you.. and say it was an easy decision

Pogba left United cause he wanted 20k and we offered 15 or something.. not even joking.. still its clear we have lots of money.. it's not mine and the guy would clearly improve the team.. so 100m who cares

As for Toure the guy has bags of talent and technique scores a lot of good free kicks too..

Kind of strange how transfer deals drag on though.. seen them fall through before like with Ronaldhino.. so I am far from certain Pogba comes

                • The boy Thierry Origi is looking on point as of right now. Can see this being his breakout season propelling him right to the top of the game. You can barely get fifth choice centre backs for £8m nowadays....bargain of the century no doubt.

                  • Looks like Chelsea set to offer 60m pounds for Lukaku now.

Just won't give up. Hopefully it's Conte who wants this deal to go through and not another Shevchenko/Torres situation.

Costa must really want to leave as well. I can't imagine buying Lukaku without him leaving.

Rather take a shot on Balotelli if that's the case. Least he can play with his back to goal.
