Yeah it's nice to see a player who was playing in the Conference a few years ago can make it to the full England squad and fair play to him for that, i'm sure he's worked his ass off to even get to the PL nevermind the England squad but after you put sentiment to one side and look at it on it's own, it's ****ing horrendously bad times when a player like Jamie Vardy can make the full national side.

I think in the premiership it helps if you are either strong or have pace as a forward in regards to Lamela. If you don't you're in trouble. Like Cuadrado. He is not quick. He is not strong. So then he is dependent on having flawless technique like a Fabregas or a Mata.

I liked Holtby too. The problem was the he didn't fit into AvB's system as he wasn't an out and out CDM nor was he an out and out CAM. He likes to play that box-to-box high energy role. Thought he would fit in well with Poch's high tempo pressing style, but then got loaned out. He's a good player though and is well regarded by most spurs fans.
