People get very hung up on speed as a factor in power. It's a factor but so is the mass behind it... and as you move further away from the pivot point, that mass has less impact.
The toe of a golf club moves faster than the sweet spot if the club face. The end of a baseball or cricket...

But you can't tell me you think making weight but being bigger on fight night is the same as not making weight.
