try doing jumping on one foot twice then switching, also try and do crossovers and junk like that....do that kind of stuff for one round and then in between rounds do push ups....

i usually do 5 to 6 3 minute rounds on the rope.... jump normal between alternating feet, doing small kickouts alternating, or knee lifts... then on the last 30 seconds of each round i do double spin hops as long as i can go.. Gets pretty hard aroudn the 3rd round. Really gives you a feel for your conditioning.
