First of all, what's your goal? Are you more of a bodybuilder or a boxer?

If you're a bodybuilder (how I hate the term), you'd gain better if you lift on non-consecutive days. This will give you more recovery time in-between workouts. Remember that you grow during rest and not during the actual workout.

If you're a boxer, strength training is good but don't concentrate too much on lifting weights. Boxing is a skill sport, so focus more on boxing drills. If you feel sore, better back off from the weights and just do some boxing workout to improve circulation to the sore muscle groups.

    I hope this helps.

If you're bulking, work a muscle group at most once a week. So do your legs one day, your chest one day, your back one day, etc. Tons of protein, gallons of water, lots of sleep, and BOX. Box on days when you're not lifting; work on skills and drills to warm up before you lift -- shadow box, jump rope, etc.

I alternate one night of lifting, one night of boxing, with an hour of roadwork every morning and Sundays off.

You should really develope a routine so you don't work out the same muscles over and over again.

if you want mass, full body routines are best...

if you noticed...powerlifters have more mass than bodybuilders...and they work with either full body splits or upper/lower body

              1 tablespoon honey

i have read it helps rehydrate your muscles for soreness.
