    Hey guys

Alright, this might seem ****** but believe me I am inspired by movie "Rocky". I never thought I would do boxing in my life, as I always had very least interest in this sport, but after watching Rocky, and some of Mike Tyson "greatest" fights, I do believe that I missed something. Earlier I was a bodybuilder, and I was pretty good at it. I had about 17.5" Inches biceps, 44" Inches Chest & around 25" Inches thighs, and I think for a 5' feet 9" Inches guy, those figures ain't too shabby. But the thing is I left doing exercises from past 4 years, and I haven't even touched weights from last 4 years. Since I am 26 years old (wondering why I didn't watched ROCKY movie way back), I feel like I am toooo old to start Boxing now.

I've been looking all over Internet about basic boxing punches, and it seems I am learning pretty good. I tried doing freehand punches (like Jab, uppercut etc.) continously for about 10 minutes, and BOY I got exhausted within 10 minutes which shows I don't have stamina at all now.

Please don't suggest me to look for a trainer, because I probably won't find it anyway, as I am from INDIA, there's not much Boxing impact here.

Guys, I am willing to learn, please guide me. Your input is highly appreciated.

I know you said not to suggest looking for a trainer, but it's really the way to go. Here's a link of some gyms in India, and hopefully one is reasonably close to you.

          Thanks tebe6sm & AzzA

Tebe6sm, to be honest I can't really afford a Trainer, I know it is very important to to have Trainer. But really, I am leading a terrible life at the moment. As you can see in my first post, I did mention, that I left doing exercises way back 4 years ago, and the reason was to get a good job. Otherwise I wouldn't have left doing exercises.

          AzzA,

Yea, I know 10 minutes is quite lame, but how it is on first day? and especially if you're not invovled in any physical activities. ... vola..imagine being without 4 years

                    Hey guys,

On the second day I feel little more comfortable with the punches, but I think that Uppercut can be difficult for me sometimes. Though, I think I am doing pretty good with Hooks, Jabs & Straight.

Can you guys give me few advice on Uppercut, especially left Uppercut? And kindly tell me how to perform shadow boxing, I mean I try, but I can't able to make moves so quickly...like Jab and hook etc.
