11 kilos?? Not gonna happen. Is it a set opponent or a tournament? If it's a specific opponent at featherweight, you won't make that (not alive, anyway...). If it's a tournament, you can always enter at light welter. Heck even that's going to be hard in only one week.

How did you go ELEVEN kilo's over your fighting weight anyway?

If you do that, the ******* is gonna tear you a new *******.... You'll be in no condition to fight.

You can always get the guy another time, and shut everybody up. Don't get yourself killed because of false pride. Have real pride, tell your coach (why doesn't he know your weight already???) you can't make the weight in time, and get it rescheduled.

Damn ***** why you have to lose so much weight? Just fight at your natural weight or a little under. Thats what I do, my natural weight is around 135 and I fight at 132. It makes things a lto easier. I say if you cant fight at your natural weight you shouldnt be fighting, esecially in the ams where most people fight at their natural weight. Pros is a different story.

You might be heavy tho and trying to get down for your first fight i dont know. Because I dont know how much kilos are or whatever they are.

                1 kilo is 2.2 pounds.

It's supposedly his 4th fight. What I don't understand is how someone can gain 11 kg's (24.2 lbs), from drinking water, while they're in training?

Fighting at your natural weight should be okay for most beginners. But when you get to a higher level, you need to get as low as you can go, even in the amateurs.
My 64 kg (141 lbs) fighter walks around at 68-70 kg (150-154) between fights (a little lower if fights are close). My 57kg (125 lbs) guy weighs 60 (132) a week before a fight, probably 145 off season. Their opponents are NOT smaller than them either.

I dont see how he gained all that weight either.

Yea that makes sense. My goal is going to just be to stay at 132 which is around my natural weight right now. Im only 16 so I will grow and my natural weight will go up im sure. Im going to just try and keep fighting at 132 for as long as I can. Right now it is easy but im sure it will get harder.

Sounds good. Too much weight loss at your age, where you're still growing, can be unhealthy and dangerous. More so than for a fully grown adult.

I have a 14 year old, who's smaller than my 27 year old featherweight. He fights at lightweight, so he doesn't have to worry too much about that.
