depends on what your "boxing training" includes. if you are doing roadwork/sprints with the training then it will help fat loss. pure boxing will drop some weight but probably not tons. muscle will get defined from bag work, i've seen an improvement in myself.

If you are looking to lose weight...this is probably one of the best sports to do it in (imo)I played football as a linebacker/guard for 5 years, at the end of my football career (May 19th, 2006) I weighed in at 243 pounds. I decided the next day I would start training for a sport I had done the summer before and really enjoyed...Boxing. 3 months later I'm down to 200, losing absolutely NO muscle -- I feel great!

Just remember there is NO magic pill/diet that is going to make you lose your weight...just genuine ass busting. DON'T GIVE UP.

        sorry not to include this...

i was thinking just heavy bag work, and some on a speeebag. would adding for example some skipping help alot for fatloss and i would expect, movement ?

id prefer to not run, as this doesnt really work for me for a few reasons, is this essential ? i dont really need to build stamina and the moment..

You don't NEED weights...You can do good without them.

well if your not competing in boxing and are doing this all for aesthetical reasons then you can lift also. I really think that running would allow for the greatest improvements, and without it you'll get winded on the bag pretty quick. Just make sure you know what your doing since your doing all this without any professional supervision. Breaking a hand, or spraining your wrist is not pleasant at all.
