Keeps you head low nice and tight aligned with spine.

Keeps your head from swiveling and thats how you get KTFO.

Also your neck is stronger when tucked in.

I usually lift my chin way up with my arms lifted behind me and run straight into punches....

Protect the nose as the bridge of the nose is straight.

          Stiffens the neck.

Better visibility as eyeline is straight

My nose never really had a 'bridge'.

Either you have strengthened your neck or you haven't before hand.

Eyes can look where they like if you are tucked or not.

You cant really get hit on the tip of the chin if its against your chest. Also if your chin is tucked the shoulders will block it when you are throwing straight punches.

I disagree with that if you are implying that you can not get knocked out by a shot to the chin if it is tucked. The tip of the chin is the sweet spot though. .5/3..........Rockin'

It’s difficult to land squarely on a face that’s at a 45 degree angle. Also it’s a good idea not to expose your Adam’s apple, just ask Duane Bobbick. Lastly, you are presenting a much smaller more defensible position if you are curled forward.

Directly on the bulls eye. When you take a good shot to the Adams apple it f's with you in a different way. Your air tubes are basically cut off for a few and for that time you are unable to process air. It hurts like he-double tooth picks and there are some crazy thoughts speeding through your mind. Either way, you fold or you fight. .....Rockin'
