          Whether or not you train on an empty stomach depends on whether you want to build or cut. Exercise on an empty stomach to cut, eat 1-2 hours before working out if you want to gain or maintain.

          I run on an empty stomach, twice a day if I can. But I would never, EVER, lift weights -- especially big, compound lifts like deadlifts, cleans, or squats -- on an empty stomach. Ever.
