Shoulder sort of pops when throwing hooks

When I shadowbox or particularly when I throw a left or right hook I feel a pop from my shoulder, from the front part, it doesn't hurt but is extremely annoying. Has anyone had experience with this before or even heard of it? I feel no pain but I hear it which is extremely distracting.it also happens when I shrug up and let my shoulders drop down

Spend atleast ten mins stretching before and after your workout. The elite amatuers i know spend 30 mins stretching before and after to avoid injuries. Also stretch your neck slowly and what also helps is swimming, and taking certain vitamins for your bones like fish oil zinv etc

I don't think its a muscle issue, its more bone. but I will try stretches, which stretches do you recommend?

Have you considered having it amputated? Presto, problem solved.

Or maybe you could toughen up and just deal with it.

It sounds as if you are throwing 'arm' punches. Learn the proper way to punch and then let us know how it feels..…..Rockin'

The popping sound you're experiencing in your shoulder could be due to joint movement or tendon friction, which can happen when the shoulder isn't fully aligned or when there's some tightness in the muscles. It’s not unusual to hear a pop without pain, but it can be distracting. It may be helpful to focus on shoulder mobility and strength exercises, particularly for the rotator cuff and scapular stabilizers, to ensure proper alignment and prevent further issues. If it persists, consulting a physical therapist might help pinpoint the cause and offer solutions.
