How hard does a person punches if he is able to knock a heavy bag down with a punch ?

I've knocked down two heavy water bags in my gym although both instances were because the bags were held up by undersized spring clips which happened to snap when I was using the bag

My buddy knocked the helmet off my head. Mostly I was wearing a L instead of an XL. His punch wasn't that hard.

It depends on your strength, power, and heavy bag . This is often not in my cards while training.

What brand were those? Everlast? Had the same happen with an Everlast bag.

Everlast is not the most durable in my experience.
