Although I will say that I have seen several Muay Thai fighters convert to boxing and become champions. As of yet no Dutch kickboxers have made the same transition successfully that I can think of.
Noticed as well mate most the Thais fight in the lower weight classes .Holland is the opposite lol the average height is 6 ft so they'd probably fight in the upper weight classes .

Starting to get height on my kick now turning it over higher so making progress .No weights no power just technique and flexibilty .Once I get flexible enough that's when i'm going to work on power .

          Good call.

Far from becoming a champion like some of the former Muay Thai fighters, though.

Transitioning to boxing in the lower weight classes might even be harder.

That's where names like Chocolatito, Estrada, Marquez have made their mark.

I think a reason for it could be Thais are poor man so hungry and need the pay check .Holland is the opposite one of the best countries in Europe so don't think they need it as much and aint as hungry they already got it all great kickboxing gyms etc .Honestly the best country i've ever been to mate much better than the UK .

Boxing does tend to be a sport for the hungry.

Holland sounds like a fun place, though. You're lucky that you have gotten to visit so often. Take advantage of the world class training there if you can.

Think K1 and Muay Thai very similar difference is no Thai clinch or Muay Thai elbows in K1. K1 more a boxing style but think both fighters adapt to the other sport pretty easy .King of Muay Thai against a Dutch K1 kickboxer
