If you are badly dehydrated you can get mental damage without even a fight taking place. People die from dehydration all the time.

Do you really need your braincells more than you need money? You are researching some cure for cancer with them cells or something shakesper? No? Then go pro.
      (just joking )

It doesn't matter whether the blows to the brain are received in sparing, the amateurs or pros. The brain is negatively affected regardless. It's severe form is called Dementia pugilistica.

If you are getting hit in the head your are causing trauma to the Brain. Even a street fight can put you on ***** street for a couple of weeks and have lasting effects. Some can with stand the abuse better then others over a period of time but sooner or later the effects will start to show the longer you are in the sport.
