Your words were "As I always say, only take advice from people who are in a position you want to be in." Mackie Shilstone wasn't a 200 lb heavyweight world champ in the 80s so therefore he doesn't fall in your parameters of who to take advice from.

What are you talking about? I do implement my own training advice. If you are going to make things up then don't expect the rest of us to make replies to you using logic.
I responded to you not wanting to post a picture of yourself because you're ashamed of your body and don't want it criticized. I wasn't defending Juggy, I was just pointing out your red herring.

If you're so proud of your training then show us the results instead of hiding behind excuses.

So take the challenge troll boy? I'll lift up too 100 pounds at least once..maybe more?barring injuries? you stated you once weighed 125...i stated i could curl almost your body weight( and did at one point) with one arm dumbell curls you said i couldnt? You then are banned for a year and you post a REAl pic for everyone to scoff and laugh at? Surly your big mouth will back that claim up right against a weakling 175 pounder/former national arm wrestling champion as myself? lol

You even had the balls to call someone out using logic...LOGIC the very thing you lack. I'll batter you so bad on here little boy you will be changing your screen name AGAIN

No REAL 20 nothing year old weighing NATURALLY at 125 pounds and never hit a REAL weight Gym is authorized to give any advise about actual real strength training. Hes a tool and gets all his info off the net and TRIES to play the small guy is better routine in and out of the history section bc he himself is a twig and small, my forearms are probably as big as his neck.... He has some sort of size complex or something?

Ask him why he hasnt done videos of training at his gym and he will tell you bc of gang ****ers while insulting others vids.....

Sure, the movement is the same, but push ups targets the core muscles more than the bench press which makes it more beneficial for boxers.

But all of you need to stop arguing with each other. This is a forum where people seek advice and tips, and not a forum where you should find keyboard warriors

Because today with my trainer and a couple more students did a speed power test, and I got the least miles per hour, I got 23 milers per hour, and I felt as tall as the grass you feel me. I know you mostly don't need muscles for boxing, as it decreases your punching speed. But I was just wondering.

            Thanks in advance

Neither. If you start building muscle, either by weights or calisthenics, it is unlikely you will suddenly become a lot faster or slower. Whatever the problem might be with your speed, I doubt that muscle mass is a root cause or solution.

That's completely irrelevant to the discussion. He was claiming that lifting weights shortened your muscles among other things and to only do calisthenics. It's not about if pushups use your abs a little.

You haven't even explained how pushups are significantly different than bench press. You only said something vague about weight distribution. What do you even mean by that?
I haven't made any claims that require evidence. I've only said basic science principles. It's like asking me to explain common everyday language. If you know anything about science like you claim then you would understand what I am talking about. However the fact that I have to provide evidence that small sample sizes in science aren't very reliable then that tells us enough about what you know about science which is not very much I'm afraid.

Actually I did explain. Did you read my post? The weight distribution is different. Body weight training is best for boxing. Builds superior combination of strength and endurance. Why do you think the military requires soldiers to pass PT exams involving calisthenics? It's because soldiers have to maintain strength for long periods of time (endurance). Just like boxers. Doing 5 rep sets on bench press and deadlifts aren't going to increase your endurance.

Weight distribution - The distribution of the stress of a load on different muscle groups. (Certain exercises emphasize different muscles).

What is your proof that Bench Press is the same as Push Ups?

I also weighed 50 lbs at one point like all other human beings. What is your point? Are you telling me you were born 170 lbs?

Lol I told several other people about you bragging about winning a white castle arm wrestling tournament. Everyone laughed for a good 10 minutes each

I never changed my screen name because of you. I changed it because Mr.Mojorisin' is a cool username.

You seriously have mental issues. I don't doubt it though, you're a creepy bloke from what I have read.

"I like all kinds of music...mostly nu metal...
"KORN" "DISTURBED" "ROB ZOMBIE" .... "OZZY" along those lines My goals?Interest in writing/drawing Horror art/movies...MMA career that looks like it will take off this year"

Lmfao I don't think you could be any bigger of a fraud now...

Calisthenics is all you need. Push up, Pull ups, Dips and Ab workouts.

Lifting weights will just make you tight, stiff, and slow. You need to be loose in Boxing. Punching exercises with small 5-10lbs dumbbells with help with strength, speed, and maximum stress conditioning of the muscle itself.

Take my advice, this is coming from someone who played D1 Football, Collegiate Wrestling, and Amateur Boxing.
All three sports require a different workout because you are using different muscles. One thing they all have in common is #1 Stamina aka Conditioning & Endurance, for the better man in shape wins.
