  • Do nsb posters piss u off too when...

They talk boxing but have never even been inside a 24hr fitness, much less a boxing gym?

I have a lot of respect 4 those that post in the training section, ive gotten good advice & hope ive helped people too. Its just irritating to see the racist & hypocrites put a stain on a pure sport that typically starts with innocence.

Nah I don't care if people have competed at any level of boxing if they have some solid opinions about what they talk about & stay in their lane when they don't or are rational about there opinions &/or accepting that they might be wrong about something.

I largely don't know what level of the sport people have competed at for most of the guys I respect the most around here & more importantly I don't really care either I suppose if I really think of it. I don't believe that you gotta have fought to be a good trainer logic that Floyd likes to throw out there & I feel that way from merely talking about the sport to being involved in it at any non-competition level.

In fact I'd go as far to say some of the dumbest opinions I hear are often equally from guys with no experience boxing & guys with a decent level of experience in the ring. The no experience having guys talk out of ignorance & the guys with experience talk out of too much confidence in their own history representing everyone who's ever laced them up.

Enzo Calzaghe had no boxing experience at all and he produced 3 world champions from a shabby old shed of a gym in Wales. Some of the best boxing journalists never had a fight in their lives. Seems like some people just have an instinctive understanding of what the sport is all about.

I like the fact that not everyone has been there/done that. I think an online community benefits from having a variety of people.

        The two types I don't like are;
        1) Those with no experience who try to argue facts (steroids, training, fighter mentality, business, etc). And, 2), even worse than those are the guys who have some experience and believe that their perspective is the only valid one. These are the true ulcers of the forum.

Nope, I just find it funny. You can tell who those posters are who have never set foot in a boxing gym let alone a gym in general, *cough* Maxi.

Everyone has an opinion but when you see those that try to pass it off as fact and it's blatantly obvious they have absolutely no idea what they are talking about, it makes for some funny times.

People take things here too seriously, it's the internet folks

as long as you can have solid points to back up your thinking that is best

Any argument/opinion as different angles so as long as people can understand that their blinkered vision may not be the ultimate opinion im ok with it.

Some of the best coaches had a very limited boxing career. Look at football/soccer/NBA/rugby, some of the very best coaches accross the globe may have had a very limited (if none at all) professional career

Yeah it is annoying but there are also guys who have competed and still know **** all from an analytical stand point, they fight good but can't call fights, assess styles, nuances or game plans. Most HOF pros even let their bias control their analysis.

Lol I thought like 99% of people who post here are people who
                actually do boxing.

Seems odd to me that someone who has never boxed before knows **** about boxing.

Yea, I think this is the only divison of the forum in which the actual boxing issues are discussed. Knowledge is knowledge, it doesn't matter if you learn it from a video, a mural or a forum post.
On NBS people talk topics releated with boxing, rather than boxing. They'll post for pages if there is a thread about Floyd's opening up a strips club, Canelo's giving a new date for Golovkin, Andre Ward's not looking at Kovalev at the meeting, Al Haymon's losing money, Pacquio's new political steps, absurdly endless talks of McGregor vs Floyd. Every single day those morons make the headlines here, the world will keep spinning whether they do talk or do not. Those morons know how moronic they sound but the morons here take those morons serious and comment for they are 'purr sweeet scientists'. There is idiots like larryxxx opening 200 topics a day about the shining beauty of blacks boxers.
Look at the current topics, how deep they are, only elite boxers can understand them:
                  is Mayweather happy?
did ward block kovalev on twitter?
