  • How to recover legs? Need help

My legs and knees are kinda tired I guess from doing cardio. What can I do for that? I visited a doctor who said everything is okay and there is no need to do any x-ray and stuff like that. Just put some ice, massage.

If your gym has a shower that's cold enough you can take a cold shower for 10-15 minutes after you workout.

Also you can use a foam roller.

But mostly, man the fck up. Your body will adjust. You Should like that feeling, it means your working hard.

So I should continue training like I do?

I don't know what you do.

When I boxed I did 4 miles before every workout. Than shadow boxed in ghe ring, anywhere from 4-8 rnds depending on how I felt. Than I would do 5-7 rnds in the heavy bag, and finish with 2-3 rnds on the double end bag, or sometimes end with a jump rope sesssion.

Maybe twice a week, I'd work legs after that, doing a Hiit routine focused mostly on legs.

The other days I'd focus on abs.

Obviously I changed my training constantly. But thzts generally what it was to give you a good idea.

Good info, thanks. I ll start boxing in September but now I started weight training and cardio. 5 days cardio 3-4 miles run on a soccer field but now Im doing it on a treadmill to let my legs recover for a while.

Ya I did my long runs on the treadmill.

Try doing 1 day treadmill for 4 miles.
Than do sprints the next day.
                3rd day take off.

                Repeat cycle.

A lot of boxers neglect sprints, I think they are more important than long distance jogging.

Ehh. From what I read, the jury's still out on ice baths and their effectiveness. In high school, my football coaches swore by them. And they do feel good, but just because they feel good doesn't necessarily mean they speed recovery.

                  Not sold on them.

Worked for me to be honest. My legs were tore up in HS from track (I was pretty competitive)
