I've tried so many different ropes...
Not a fan of the super thin / wire ones, they're great for going fast and doing double and triple unders but they are too light. I feel like i don't get a good workout in, my shoulders don't feel it.
Leather ropes are too slow and also too light, they feel like they get slowed down due to wind resistance.
PVC jump ropes are my favorite, I can go fast, the weight is good and great for double unders and cross-overs.
Overall it's best to try a couple, everyone is different.
