    It is and it isn't. It just depends on how committed you want to get. In your average class its all about mutual welfare and benefit. But in competitive Jodo power becomes more of the game and the throws get far more violent. Taking a bad throw in judo even if you land correctly is the equivalent to taking a hard liver shot.

    You get this feeling of weightlessness which means that Tori has lost control of the throw and you are in free fall. You then hit flat on your back and all that forces gets reflected into your body. Then you lay there for awhile.
