    if you have talent you can absolutely learn enough and gather enough experience to become a professional boxer. it's been done before. some talented guys have gone on to become contenders and even champions after starting in their 20's.

    dwight kawi is an example. he turned pro at 25 after learning how to box in prison. he was, of course, very talented. he's a hall of famer.

    you'll probably get matched tough on your first fight, and lose more than you win. most fighters fall into this category, you just never hear about them or see them on TV.
