Running is the easiest and best exercise. You can do it in your own time.

You would REALLY have to go overboard for that to happen... That's a very overestimated event that is contradicted every other week by different articles who's authors claim to have these very isolated sets of data...

It's simple, if your caloric deficit is in check (which is hard not to).. you should have nothing to worry about.

              Long distance running is overrated.

You can actually overwork your heart causing damage, you lose a ton of muscle, which is why so many runners look skinny fat, I prefer sprints or stair machine.

Not to mention long distance running releases a ton of cortisol(stress hormones) in your system which is anythng but healthy.

I hate running...but I do it when it is required in a cross fit class or when I'm on vacation - because it is convenient and the best way to get a good cardio training...but I still don't like it

                  This

Also, long distance running is for those types of people who want to run, but not get their heart rate up high enough. Intensity is key.

Plus, depending on the distance, your serum testosterone levels will flatline at a certain point, and the exercise becomes mute.
