  • Getting Cut

    Paging mystyal2k5 and anyone else.

What exercises can I do everyday that can get me more cut and keep my weight and muscle mass the same? I've taken the past month to lift and gain mass and it's going well. I want to look cut, not to bite off of mystyal2k5 but I'd like to attain that image as well. What exercises do you do? I'm in above average physical shape, can run 3 miles in 19 minutes, etc. but want to be carved.

Any input rewarded with good K.

getting cut is really more about diet than it is about exercise. Your appearance generally depends more on what you eat. Exercise is still really important as it helps speed the process and keeps your metabolism up. Running intervals are excellent exercises for losing body fat.

Already been said but good diet and change your weight training plan to a medium to light variation.

Try a rotation with x amount of weeks/months doing circuits and extra cardio to burn off any excess fat and water, then switch and return to your original programme, you will then see a difference in your cuts.

For your lower abs, do some leg raises, hip raises, oblique raises, v sits etc.

Doing natural excersizes like rope jumping, push ups, sit ups etc. I think training hard for a fight makes you really ripped too.

I ***in here ya on the lower gut thing.. It seems like the more ab work i do, my upper abs become more defined pushing the (ihate to say) fat down to the lower/side parts of my abs..

How would i target this directly for fatburn yet maintainnig a gain on my build??
It is getting smaller as I go but not as quick as I like..

Everything you just posted is exactly what I would say. All 69 words. I seperated "ihate", otherwise it's 68. Perfect post.

HIIT - High Intensity Interval Training. I tried it for a while and got up to around 9 minutes, but I was running on the road as it was the only thing available and it started to kill my shins and knees so I had to stop. Can't say whether I really got "ripped" from it or not though. Short hard bursts followed by jogging in 30 second intervals are where it is at. Think of the body of a sprinter vs the body of a long distance runner.
