    Mix of both..

I suggest about 85-90% road work and about 10% sprints

For training you should only consider what gives you the best conditioning. If you want to lose weight it's all in the diet. You can't outrun a bad diet.

Are you talking for boxing? If it's for boxing, it's simply a must that you do both. Not two ways about it. It's never one or the other, it's both, no argument. They're two seeds from the same pod.

How does someone like Margarito or Pacquiao have such stamina? Is it just natural in their case?

Just like everyone's said, interval training burns fat like crazy. Jog a 100m, sprint a 100m. Rinse and repeat until exhausted.

Alot of the top tier atheletes (boxers included) train with elevation training masks these days. It simulates a high altitude which increases oxygen carrying blood cells/lung capacity etc. Its also why Kenyans have ridiculously large lungs naturally living so high up.
