  • Is it too late to become pro

I am in my 30's with limited boxing experience from when I was younger but I have good reasons in becoming pro..

I want to win enough fights until I can get a fight with Gavin Rees, he disrespected me in a big way at a lonsdale trade fair show and I want revenge

basically I was doing some sales for lonsdale on one of the stalls with some new gloves we were showcasing anyway Rees and his entourage came over to have a look he was checking them out I told him they give a bigger circumference of impact and he was like "oh yea well why dont you let me try them out on you"

I thought hey if it gets me a sale then im willing to do anything to impress my boss who was watching from the other side of the hall, so rees is like dont worry I aint gonna give you full power so that put me and ease..so I stood there and BAM!! gavin hits me full force like a true lightweight champ and I go down faster than Adrien broner on a stripper.I came round after a minute or so and rees and his team were laughing and throwing stuff off my stall and tipped it over before rees SPAT ON THE FLOOR!! infront of me and said "dont mess with the champ muther***a"

my boss came over and was like your fired for shaming the lonsdale name.I swore that day I will make rees pay for ruining my life I have already started running and eating raw eggs I just need to know can I do it? can I make it pro?

No you can't, your a crappy stand up too...if lil' rees who has little to no power can drop you that tells it all. Try selling shoes.................not ladies you'll get beat up doing that too!

hahaha Oh god I hope this is true! You have no chance in hell. You will not get to Rees. If you were good enough boxer to earn yourself a fight with Gavin Rees you'd be boxing and not talking about doing it on a forum. Great story though, funny as hell

Anything is possible I suppose but to be honest it would be unlikely.

Even if your tough as sht with a ton of talent it would be unlikely you would rach the point where your fighting for belts. Years of experience and knowledge pays dividends to these /champion/elite fighters.

Put it like this.... Rees has been boxing competitively since probably 10-12 years old or younger. No matter how tough or talented you are, your not going to show him anything he has not seen. On the other hand he has a book of tricks he can throw at you that you have never seen. Even if you have 15-20 pro fights and win them all he is still gonna have a book of tricks to throw at you.

But like I said anything is possible....

gavin rees, take him in a street fight, grapple the **** out of him, simple, but do boxing for self esteem and confidence and also for peace

Get on TRT like hopkins it will give you an extra 10 years to learn the game.

Or find some other way to cheat using drugs. It aint hard to cheat in pro boxing.

                Yes you can! Do it!

Iceman has a good point. Work on some Ju Jitsu and wrestling for a year or two and challenge him to an MMA fight.

Take about 3-4 amateur MMA fights then go pro. Take to Twitter, Facebook and all the other social media and maybe you will get his attention and entice him into a fight.

It's not nice to smear **** on the game. You have no clue as to how hard anything in this sport is to do, especially on a professional level. By saying what you did you are degrading all of the hard work that clean fighters are putting in around the world on a daily basis.

AlexKid, you got banned? What's happened to the curious kid?

I feel similar to how I felt immediatelty after Ol' Yeller contracted Rabies and they had to put him down ..............Rockin'
