Lifting weights, practicing hours on the heavy bag, sparring and double end bag doesn't win you fights but having great timing, great head movement and most importantly great footwork wins you fights. Do you agree or disagree?

Can't say i totally agree - you can have fancy footwork, great head movement
but if you can't think on your feet sparring you are up a creek. Sparring will show
you where you are weak and what needs to be worked on. Double ended bag can
help your reflexes.

No but he trained a golden gloves champion anyway he didn't mean it like that. He told me sparring is the most important thing in training and while sparring I should be focusing on these three factors and he meant to say just having gym wars won't make you a good fighter. Because I told him I would like to spar all out 20 rounds a day but he scolded me for that.

The footwork and the lifting our key... You sound like a tough guy so there is no need for all the sparring.. It's why a lot boxers by there mid 20's either have a huge drinking problem, drug problem, ******** problem, and many other emotional issues. It's not worth it alternative training is good don't destroy you're body there is life after boxing. Sergio Martinez a hell of a fighter only spars once during his whole camp.... I personally agree with you're coach and am not a fan of sparing all the time... Situational drills and body work with sparring are ok..... but not hardcore grinding it out sparing all the time.

All of the lifting and fancy drills might help the athletic qualities of a fighter but they won't make you a fighter.
Only fighting can make you a fighter.
And yes there is a price to pay for all of the trauma that's why there are very few fighters.
And all of the addictions and self destructive behavior displayed by fighters just goes with the personality type of a fighter.
You have to be a self destructive to be a fighter because it is common sense that fighting is not good for your health.
