    Punching speed & heavier gloves

What is the relationship between Punching speed & heavier gloves?
Anyway, I am going to visit Cost Rica in the next month so I am looking for a hotel to stay there. I heard a little los suenos marina. Can someone please tell me about their service? Or give me any other advice for hotel.

people like you give this site its bad rep

heavier gloves ? 16oz? do not "increase speed"
speed it pretty much natural if you go from 16 to 12 oz you might feel faster from the drop in weight thats about all

Pretty much what revs said, if you are using 16oz gloves and suddenly drop all the way down to 10oz gloves, your hands will feel faster and lighter simply because of the drop in weight.

That's all there is too it

After training on a bag with 16oz for a while I did felt that I was faster with 12oz.

I think that's why some do shadow boxing with weights...

I feel that speed can come from efficient technique, so you could work on tightening and shortening your punches, discarding any unecessary movement, etc. etc.

For example, you could have the fastest hands in the world, but if you only ever throw technically bad street fighting big looping punches you're not going to be as fast as you could be.

If it was me I'd be working on timing and technique, and trusting that speed would come from that.

Yes, it will help a little if you drop back down to lighter gloves.

It will also help shoulder endurance so you can better keep your hands up when tired.

It actually does help 'speed' in a sense. Heavier gloves will strengthen your muscles, which will allow you to tire out less quickly when using smaller gloves in a fight. The less you tire out, the more fresh 'pop' you continue to have on your punches. That will translate to speed against your opponent, assuming they tire out before you do.
