Leave that stop OFF your bodies! Your adding stress in the areas your body is the weakest!
Increase time, numbers and speed to your workouts instead of adding weight to your frame. Makes no sense! Ray.

i just ordered a weighted vest & can't wait to do some calisthenics with it!

ray corso, what are you on about? are you saying that a weighted vest is bad for everything - surely not? here is a video of david haye (not exactly a hero but still...) using a weighted vest to do rope climbs in a training camp last year www .youtube.com/watch?v=D6hdpqUVYns

I work with one constantly but I must warn you to progressively add weight to it to train or walk around with the added weight constantly because the knees are very fragile.

How about knees? Would knees suffer because of using weighted vest?

30lb. is way too much. 5 to 10 pounds is more than enough. Otherwise it will affect your technique. It could also lead to injury

Calisthenics isnt bad imo and its a great tool but hitting the bag or high impact type activities could stress your joints and mess with your balance.

They are great for general circuit training (i.e. press up, pull ups, lunges etc). I wouldn't recommend the vest for regular plyometric training for most trainees.

Absolutely nothing to be gained by wearing a weighted vest for any form of technique practice, bag work, pads, sparring etc, and certainly do not run in it regularly (never preferably).
