Has anyone started involving CrossFit into their workouts? If so do you think it has helped your performance at all?

I never tried it because if I do I'd be motivated to become a crossfit world champ and I can't bother with that right now

The CrossFit Games are the ultimate proving grounds for the Fittest Man and Fittest Woman on Earth™ and are world-renowned as the definitive test of fitness.

Smh, crossfit is a high intensity routline, one of many. Clean and jerks are an Olympic exercise, not a 'crossfit exercise' can't stand how crossfot tries to take claim to such exercises, and their 'holier than thou' attitude. No, you are not a unique snowflake.

I do some high intensity workouts, but don't care for crossfit and their philosophy. Sacrificing form and technique all for the sake of doing a rep a little quicker is hot garbage IMO. And kipping....Trolololol

But yes, your performance will increase with high intensity workouts, and workouts that include explosive exercises like clean and jerks. Just....stay away from 'crossfit' imo

A lot of people like to put down CrossFit but the guys and girls that work out at those facilities are usually very fit looking.

                1. Most of such people that you are seeing were athletic people to begin with, had done their share of workouts and were/are just looking for something different to do. 'Crossfit' is just a buzzword. When examined and broken down, its nothing more than a high intensity routine. Within it, its got its good and bad. For example clean and jerks are an exceptional exercise, great for strength and explosiveness. What's not so great, is sacrificing form and technique within the lift in order to do a rep just a little quicker. Oh, and c&j's are an Olympic exercise, not a crossfit exercise. Rage when they try to claim such lifts and exercises as there own.

                2. On top of all that, high intensity anything will get you 'fit' looking. Its just about burning calories, which high intensity routines are all about.

And how does being "fit looking" apply to performance in any sport?

BJ Penn used CrossFit at one time to get in shape for MMA. NFL player Lorenzo Neal used it as well towards the end of his career.

I'm sure there are other examples.
