  • broken nose

today i broke my nose in sparring (confimed by x-ray). broke it in round 1 but ended up finishing rounds which was probably ****** but i digress.

anyway, how long typically before you can return to boxing activities, and then how long before you can spar again? nose isnt shattered, just a single fracture on the bridge.

A broken nose would have absolutely no effect on my training.
But that is just me (and the types i hang around). I have no idea what the typical guy would tell you.

Refer to your doctor, thats why he's the pro! Keep it packed and trust in your doctors and trainer.
A broken nose is considered an important break to pay attention to mainly for future problems it could cause!

biggywigglything; you must be one of those backyard tuff guyz? Broken bones mean nothing to you, right? When that bone fragment slides over into your eye ball you'll still be a tuff guy, just a one eyed tuff guy hahahaha!

Me: Irish family (literally) so was taught fighting was how men worked out disagreements.
        Undefeated in Jujitsu.
        Undefeated in wrestling.
Undefeated in Bare Knuckle boxing (my favorite).
        Undefeated in Golden Gloves.
Spent 5 years in the US Army. Undefeated in US Army combatives.
Was a competitive powerlifter for 8 years, until 2011 I was US National Champion and on Team USA.

Nothing ever gets in the way of any of my training. Lack of sleep, lack of food, sickness, broken bones, ripped muscles, blown out back, slipped disc, etc have never stopped me from finding a way to train. Why would a broken nose bother me?

You: Have a keyboard and internet connection, so you feel qualified to judge others, right?

Oh and the name is "BiggyWeiTing". See it's "Biggy" which is the English translation for my son's nick name that was given to him since he was born premature and undersized. The "WeiTing" is "Wei" and "Ting" which are the Pinyin versions of his Chinese middle names, which hold very close traditional family meaning.
Try not to be so disrespectful.
Your name is Ray Corso. Which means you are one of three things. You are either:
          1) A 37 year old guy who lives in Florida and takes online surveys for extra money and had a very sad life.
          2) A boxer who has only won 2 out of 10 fights.
          or
          3) A nobody.
