      Classic.

I recommend picking up an ab wheel if you don't have access to one and doing some sets for your next workout. It really hits the abs

Your backside on the apron, waist on the edge and then bend backwards to the floor and rise up! This exercise needs to be done when your IN shape not to be done out of shape! You will be working deep into intercostals so caution is needed. You can work in twists and dips and this should be done with a partner present! These can also be performed in reverse with extreme caution. This exercise can cause alot of damage that will take a long time to recover from. Deep inclines and declines using the upper body for stress and pressure are very difficult exercise! Caution or pain..... but done correctly you will go deep and be building strength. Slow and easy with few reps at first ofcourse! Ray.

Ray have you ever tried electro stimulation for your abs? Test show it increases abdominal hypertrophy by up to 200% . Now do you believe new is better than old?

Who do you think can take a better punch a man who uses modern steroids and electro stimulation or some freaky old timer that eats beef and works out on a womans pink apron?

I know who id put my money on!

yes because toughness is all about hypertrophy, which is why we see flocks of bodybuilders coming to heavyweight boxing, beating up all the "old school" boxers and making off the cash, easy like. right?
why is this troll still on these boards?

Dont know but I called him out since day one and a few here got their panties in a twist and actuslly believe this guy is real. He asks the most newbie of questions and then answrrs his own questions like he may possibly* know what hes talking about but then asks another dumb ass question. Like his other thread asking for percentages in muscle usage when throwing a punch. Wtf? Cmon son. Hes a troll and yet hes got a few people here convinced. He even advises people on training when in previous posts he stated he didnt know how to stop momentum when throwing a punch so he would in effect helicopter himself by spinning himself completely around. Yet heads on here believe his shyt. Smh

The ab wheel is great. I also like heavy side bends.

I like to stand in my boxing stance with a 25 kg plate and explosively rotate in each direction repeatedly using the same technique (with the lower body / core) that I would use when throwing a hook or straight back hand. I do this in both stance.

Other than that, I get the rest of my core work from squats, deadlifts, overhead pressing and very heavy DB rows.

For the DB Rows, I don't use strict form. I use a weight that I wouldn't be able to lift without jerking with my legs and and ROTATING my core to initiate the movement.

Try it (keeping the spine straight). It really hammers the obliques.
