Back is a overall too large muscle group to get a quality workout within a hr. I say within a hr, because weight training starts to catabolis your muscle (in other words, you're doing negative work for your muscles and overall gains) with any workouts that go over a hr.

I work on a split like this

      Chest/Tris - Mon.
      Bi's - Tues.
      Legs - Wed.
      Back - Thur
      Shoulders - Fri

Note, I work out my forearms and abs every other day.

After about a month or so on any given split, I'll flip it around and completely redo it, it always keeps your body, and muscles guessin, plus it helps keep the workouts interesting.

Depends on a number of things dude.

Diet, work ethic, intensity, genetics, etc etc...

There is no way to tell when you should see results, but smart money says within the first couple of weeks, you will be able to tell some difference.

Cool. I should make a start. By the time I finish my MA, I want well defined pecks. That would give me about 20 months from now.

I could outline a plan for you that could have you to the point you want, withing 3 months (depending on your starting point, and how much bodyfat you have on your chest)

                  Yeah?

That'd be superb. I dont have too much chest fat, I'm not defined obviously that's the issue.

You could PM it to me? Or email?

                    Are you planning on boxing?

If so, abs, shoulders, and arms are your priority my friend.

I would even get the legs worked good before I start worrying about pecs.

Nah, I dont intend to box, maybe follow the work out routine to some extent. I just want a decent set of pecs, and from there maybe develop abs. Just want to tone up pretty much.
