That's a surprisingly low amount of shadowboxing and bag work.

that man has given so much shame to my belloved sport
None of that matters. You can see the vast difference in talent between the Tyson that was in the ring in 2002, and the Tyson in 1987. Even against Holyfield he wasnt near his best.

Its a really annoying myth that weights make you slow, it pops up alot here. Weights CAN make you slow but if you train right you wont slow down. Following a bodybuilders routine will make you slow. Push-ups and pull ups are nearly identical to a light bench press and heavy Lat pulldowns but every boxer does them, but as soon as you touch a barbell your gonna slow down? come on guys...

                  Stretch
                  3 mins of shadowboxing
                  3 mins of heavybag
10 rounds of ringwork (sparring and/or mitts)
Finish with slipbag drills or speedbag drills
                  Stretch,
                  Rest 15-20 mins,
                  Stretch
                  Calesthenics
                  Finish with skipping drills
                  Stretch.

That was it, Monday to Friday.

That's exactly what Tyson told Henry Cooper for a BBC interview in April 1987.
i doubt tyson only spent 3 muintes on a heavy bag each day?!??! he would have spent ages perfecting his technique on the bag and doing a workout not just 3 mins, he may have ment 3 muinte rounds?
