  • Man I wish I could get back in the gym. Been out 2 1/2 months now due to a shoulder injury. Got an MRI done a week ago and apparently I have 2 tears in my shoulder. Weird cause it doesn't really hurt but I don't wanna go back and screw it up further. Waiting on the freaking military to send me to this specialist so I can see what my options are.

    I get real antsy when I haven't hit anyone for an extended period.

        He is a grown ass man with a family..why come on here with that negative crap?? no need at all, he is making huge gains and doing just fine so please keep that negativity to yourself

          Sorry you see your boy being called a kid as such an insult. I was referring to his relative youth as it reflects his inexperience in the gym compared to mine. Young folks think they know everything and older people don't know what they're talking about. Maybe he'll look back years from now and say,"Wow, that old man knew what he was talking about after all!" Maybe not.

          • What's everyone's optimal workout time? I like to get to the gym around 6 - 6:30 pm and go to about 7:30 pm

                  I'm an early goer. I am usually always at the gym by 7:45 am. I go just after I drop my son off for school.

                  • I think we're being a little hard on the old timer. He's just trying to offer some advice. He hasn't said anything out of line, and we're most likely misinterpreting his use of the word "kid".
