So how would you counter that counter? You need to finish just as a fighter needs to, when your instructing there is Always Two Sides!

Rigo never finished Donaire, he had his chance to cemment bigger pay days and let it go for the sake of being "safe"! He could have stopped him after the 9th but he's not much of a business man. Still got the amatuer thinking going on plus whatever he's made is huge to him considering his background!!!
Lots of people talking about the win and how it was done! Just imagine that he stops Donaire in the late rounds after out boxing him!!!??????$$$$$$$$$.
      Ray.

I don't know if that's an exact formula. I'm certain The Jackal has just created a new Latin fan base that will be deep. The highest paid athlete in the world does not stop people and sales more than Tyson ever did.

Ray, it's not smart to make 1 video with every technique brother. You gotta spread the views out. Go to my channel for a variety of different videos on various techniques. I simply took advantage of the timing to highlight something in that fight. If you want a more in depth view of this fight watch this video and stop ignoring my not so contreversial post...
BTW I already posted this here, people only jump on my threads when I say something contreversial. You get my drift?

I don't know if Rigo has created a new Latin fan base that is deep. The reality of the boxing world is that the biggest base is Mexican and Mexican/American fans.

They fill the biggest stadiums, they buy the most PPV's when you break it down by group. It's the reason Chavez Jr is so big and Canelo as well.

Rigo is a great fighter, but I think Ray has a point in that his style isn't fan friendly, especially to the Mexican fan base that wants to see action and blood.

That's not a stereotype btw, I love rigo's style, I'm obviously Mexican but if I'm a promoter, his style isn't one that I'm leaning on to sell tickets.

Floyd was very different in that he was knocking people out at 130, now at 147 and 154 he isn't but they are two very different fighters in style.

hhahaha I have my own answers for that counter move I was wonder if you did? My comment about "two sides" has alot of validity with it. When you go back to a youngsters jab after teaching the basics you also teach how to counter jabs. This is a weeks instruction and then it remains in his weekly program until the lesson is digested!!!
I'm just saying when "you" throw out a topic to discuss its also relivent to discuss the reply (counter)! Or simply ask people to respond to your question with the counter.
This should have been done by PM, I'm not trying to put you on a spot I just want both sides covered. Its the teacher in me hahahaha!!!! swamy Ray.

              Fair enough.

From a coaching/teaching perspective I think it's essential to educate the world on all styles and every aspect of boxing. I have never heard a Jiu Jitsu fan not like a guy because they finished all their fights with triangle chokes instead of arm bars.

I have never heard a fan of basketball say we hate the playoffs because the tempo slows down and more defense is played.

I can only hope that this sport I love gets the respect it deserves technically. If not I'm afraid we are the WWE.

I tell you what maybe he has not gained latin fans but he gained some fans/haters/attention because we are still talking about him and that fight along with many other websites and forums. My youtube pg alone has done at least 40,000 accumalated views of that fight. So somebody is watching whether they like or dislike the style
