I'm not asking for much folks...if I am so clueless, surely you can produce some video evidence to destroy the point I am making...please school me...show me some footage of this tactic consistently working against even a DECENT southpaw...

"I've had more fights than you" <----- This is not a suitable argument. It means nothing. Too many trash fighters with no skills who would have been better off laying bricks or being a plumber...especially over the net lol.

      Footage please....I....will.....wait....

Disrespectfull lil' cuss, ain't he? Here bite the nipple you lil' sucka!!!!hahahahaha!!!
Heres how I used to fight southpaws.........Attack Attack Attack back them up in a straight line and most will back up straight too!!!!
Counter EVERYTHING they do but more importantly get off FIRST!!!
Dictate tempo and move them where you want them. I hated to box southpaws so I fought them instead!! The ones that are converted can be a problem the true left has a weak right hand so thats the first thing I attack and take away! My preference is to slide to my left into his right and then own it! You commit to negate and other than that its till a fight!

Don't think much of any southpaws, I thought Hagler was pretty damn good and he didn't look awkward as most southpaws do look. He had style and very good form! Ray
Pacman double feinted and stepped in with nothing in front, Juan side stepped him and was damn near late in hitting him. Juans right shoulder and Mannys right shoulder were practically touching thats how close it was to being late!!!

Heres the reverse but same tactic. You are pretty clueless though. Watch Nunn slip the jab to his right while throwing his left hand. Same tactic but reversed for a south paw. You'll probably say, Who the **** is Kalumby, probably some trash fighter............ Rockin'

You can't be serious, already said Pac was an exception, but i'll entertain anyways.

            1. No where in the video did he eat a right hand off of a counter double jab. NO WHERE!

            2. Most of the right hands he took weren't even clean, and were counters to the straight left hand thrown WITHOUT SETTING IT UP WITH JABS!

            3. Even on the knockout punch, Pacquiao was jumping in WITHOUT THROWING THE JAB WITH BOTH HANDS DOWN

I'm still waiting on the footage...

Michael Nunn was a beautifull boxer, very gracefull. Hagler was the man, I loved watching him fight when I was a kid.

I always attacked southpaws too.............. Rockin'

Ray, the bolded part is my thesis for this entire debate. Saying it's not a good idea to throw jabs to set up combinations is absurd. I am not dis*****g Rockin's point that this tactic can work, he's right that left handers do it all the time especially being so comfortable fighting righties, I am dis*****g that it works to the extent that a southpaw should "throw less jabs" because of it. THAT IS ******!

I've gathered that you guys may have a lot of ring experience and trust me, I respect that. I really do. Love the sport too much to not respect guys who step into the ring at any level. But right is right, and wrong is wrong. Rockin is CLEARLY wrong.

Because you won't find it lol. Funny the best example you could come up with was the tactic done by a southpaw against a rightie lol. Again, it works better in reverse because southpaws are much more comfortable leading with straight lefts against righties because they are so used to stepping in to their right to get their lead foot on the outside.

But like I said to you before man, this will only work consistently against a southpaw who is slow, blind or leans in too far with the jab. Look at the Nunn KO you just showed. Look at how bad Kalambay over extended with his jab. He made a mistake and Nunn brilliantly took advantage of it. But again, you're hard pressed to see this tactic work CONSISTENTLY against a southpaw to the point where they should throw less jabs. That is just plain dumb.
