Started a 7 day detox cleanse

Started this yesterday because I was feeling like crap all last week and figured it was probably a good idea to cleanse my system after almost 29 years. Has anyone done one of these? If so how well did it work, did you notice any difference?

I did a juice fast for 2 weeks and it made a massive difference for me. I'd not felt that good since I was about 16. Energy levels went through the roof and I could run again without any knee pain or swelling which I'd not been able to do for 5 years previously.

I bought myself a masticating juicer (they're pretty expensive compared to centrifugal ones, but it was well worth it) and was mainly having green juices made from various veg like: Cucumber, celery, spring greens, cabbage, kale, beetroot, broccoli, carrots etc.

When I was just consuming juice I had at least four 16oz glasses a day and more if I felt the need to.

Now I usually have two or three juices a day in between meals. I try to make each meal at least 50% raw and cook veg and eat grains that are easier to digest like quinoa, millet and sprouted buckwheat.

There's a few decent documentaries that would be beneficial to watch like Food Matters, Hungry For Change, Forks Over Knives and Fat, Sick and Nearly Dead. The later has a decent website where you can get free nutritional advice. It's called 'Reboot With Joe'.

I eat OK i guess usually like a lot of turkey burgers or salmon cakes I just cook them all on the weekend eat them throughout the week, on wheat buns, 2 pieces of wheat toast for breakfast with 1 whole egg and egg whites, greek yogurt with granola for snacks through out the day usually twice and roasted almonds to snack on at work as well. But I do go out to eat a couple times a week this is my downfall as well as alcohol i try to limit it to one night of drinking but usually its like 2-3 nights a week.

Is it strictly just juice no solid foods? Do you have a link that kinda draws it out I'd like to read it if so for something to try in the future

Thanks but I meant on your detox. I might need to do one myself when I finish uni since I've been living the uni lifestyle
