    weight distribution question

Ive been to a lot of gyms over the years and got different anwsers about weight distribution between your feet. so gyms say 60/40 and others say 50/50....

Im not really asking the "right" way but is there anything specific foot you should put more weight on to do a specific technique??? More of like an invisible advantage, your opponent cant say your weight shift well but you know you are about to do something. Do you get what Im saying? anyone have anything they like to do with weight and why

It is a complicated question, I mean it requires a lengthy answers. Here are just 2 cents from me: weight shifting depends on the stance and fighting style you choose primarily. Orthodox guys are more on the back foot, modern - on front or 50/50. A counter-puncher would naturally be more on the front foot to provoke / bait the attacker, who should be more on the rear foot to get more power for shots
