I have big calves (bigger than my dads, and im only 14). They do get sore though, i usually take a break for, say, 2 minutes, every 5 minutes or so.

Not to mention I mess up a lot of times

Skipping for an hour at 3 minutes intervals with 1 minute rest in between isnt really that hard.

I think the best way to improve stamina is interval training...I used to go out running and just run for as long as i could and was gradually increasing how far and long i could run for, but as soon as i started doing intervals i noticed a massive improvement.

Yeah, I do about a 3 and a half mile run at the minute, but as soon as I feel fitter i'll do four.

yea interval training is good, every morning when i wake i do a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) workout on a excersise bike, 2 mins warm up, one min full out, one min slow, one min full out, one min slow and i do that for 18 mins

I've always been a bit baffled by the boxing trainers' attitude that running for 15-20 min max is all you need to do in terms of roadwork.

I don't box -not properly anyway! - but I do run, and as people have said above, your roadwork should be a mix of interval training to improve your anaerobic workrate and recovery, and longer distances to improve stamina.

As a boxer you definitely will need high levels of anaerobic fitness, hence the 15 minutes run as far as you can drill, but you're potentially going to be boxing for 12 rounds one day, in which case after 5 or so rounds you're gonna hit a brick wall and run out of gas.

I don't box but seems simple to me. Good luck, don't be afraid to drop the intensity right down for the longer runs to start with.
