  • Is it me or what?

idk why but for some reason i just feel weird in my Boxing classes

idk if my coach is a good one...here is why, a few days ago he taught me combo move, but then the next day he told me to keep practicing all the moves he has taught me...but hes only taught me one. and sometimes he tells me to do some new stuff but i have no idea what to do since all he has taught me is a left and right hook.

and to make it even worse..its been 4 days and he dont even know my name. on my 3rd day some new guy joined and he knows his name already..i feel like there is lack of respect but maybe im just being silly, any advice?

Are you right handed or southpaw? Either way don't ever throw a hook with your rear hand, you'll get caught.

all thats going on in your head, hes not disrespecting you man. its 4 days. ive been in a gym for 2 YEARS and theres still trainers that dont know my name. why do you give a ****. if you want to get to know him talk to him. why is that so important to you? hes got a bunch of people to worry about, hes not gonna follow you at all times and ask you about everything. if you want him to know your name talk to him, ask him about how to throw a correct punch, how to move and stuff like that, thats when he starts realizing you are serious about it. new guys dont get the same treatment, they'll have to earn their stripes first by showing up regularly and showing the trainer that you want them to teach you stuff, youre not just there to workout a little. once the trainer realizes you are serious about it he will pay more attention to you. theres always new guys that train a couple times and then dont show up anymore and thats a waste of time for a trainer if they pay attention to them

All that matters is that you're in their boxing. Don't worry about anyone, worry about yourself and getting better. So what if you don't know all these flashy combos, hell, learn the punches themselves and put them together yourself. Get creative
