    Most pros have big hands

and a long reach is a hell of an advantage. This is from someone who did compete. Sonny Liston had both.

hand size, head size, forearm size has nothing to do with boxing from an advantage standpoint. it is mostly the size of ones heart. just my opinion.

Big hands are a big plus

Anyone who says that big hands are not a distinct advantage has never been inside of a real boxing gym or looked at the top ranked fighters up close. Physiology is real in the real world. Distinct physical advantages in boxing are a long reach, large hands, and good eyesight. I am not saying they guarantee success or anything like that, I am saying they are a major plus. The odds just favor a person with those attributes rising to the top. I am not saying that a big heart is not important. But Joe Frazier had a big heart against Foreman and he went down six times in two rounds. Like I said, just go to a gym in Las Vegas (or wherever) where top pros train and see what physical attributes they have in common. Big hands will be among them. I shook hands with Tyson (who is about 5 9 1/2) and his hands were huge. Ditto Foreman. And Foreman's forearms were incredible. His wrist was like a softball bat.

small hands have more power with short straight punches, uppercuts and jabs the bigger hand have more power on wide punches like wide arcing hooks and long straights... but the small hands are prone to damage check mayweather and erik morales both have small hands and always have hand injuries the same with me i have small hands and got damage to both hands aswell.

              No it is not bullcrap

The reason why you are "good enough" is because of your physical tools -- reach, hand size, eye sight, etc. What exactly do you think makes you "good enough" -- the tools you bring into the ring, combined with conditioning, learned skills and technique, and heart. Rather than take my word for it, spar with someone with a long reach and big hands. Tell me how you do.
