"unique" is definitely not.
and i really would take Ross Training with a pinch of salt if i were you. there's some nice ideas but the information to be found there doesn't really extend any further than that from a boxing training(/boxing fitnees) perspective

1. A tennis ball with 2 holes in it either side.
2. Elastic or big rubber band going thru the tennis ball and then conecting it to a hat like i have done, or some people just a bit of rope, its up to you.
3. Secure the elastic onto the hat or rope, so it dosnt fly off when you punch it, simply wrap it round or tape it on.
4. Ensure the elastic is secure on the tennisball, i just tied a big knot at the end, and put a bit of bluetac there.
Hope this helps m8

most the time they are punching straight down or almost straight down, they barely ever move, they only ever use head movement when they miss, and you never see them throwing hooks or uppercuts.
even when Kostya Tszyu does it hes punching at his knees.
im starting to think you cant box properly with this.
a double end bag would be much better.
even a tennis ball hanging by a string from the ceiling so its at eye lvl or chin height would be better.

As someone else said, I prefer double end bag, but hitting that tennis ball every once in a while wouldn't hurt either. Whether you are aiming down (punching at opponents knees) or up while working that tennis ball, that's irrelevant. There are a lot of good fighters who do not punch up when hitting heavy bag and good trainers who hold their mitts too high, doesn't make a difference. As long as they aim where they need to when it counts, I dont see a problem.
