Energy drinks... I hate it though. I've gotten in the habit of taking down about half of an energy drink as a little boost to get me excited. I can have a good workout without them, but I don't feel as intense or motivated.
Getting my heart rate up is a must.
Choosing the right music to listen to on the way to the gym is a big ritual to me. Usually Motorhead and old Wu Tang.
Also, not being in a rush matters a lot. Just staying relaxed and making I'm doing it for fun and not turning it into work.
you say energy drinks, would coffee be good? caffeine is the heart rate raiser right?
Coffee rots my stomach but if you enjoy it, the caffeine may be of benefit. It makes you more alert and pumped. It can also dehydrate you so be careful. I don't like taking it but it's been helping lately. Might stop in the summer.
