I'm currently in college and I do not have a car. There are some decent gyms but they are like an hour away on the city bus and city transportation is horrible and only come back every hour ( i hate it! ). I would like to start boxing and also lose weight. I''m 5'9 270, i used to play football, but after being a college student and sedentary I gained 50 pounds (bad eating habits). Would you go to LA Boxing if you were me? It's only 50 dollars and is a 2 minute walk away.

I have never been to LA gym but since its 2 minutes away and 50 dollars. You should try it out. All you have to lose is 50 dollars. Who knows you might end up loving it.

Yea I think I'm going to go up there after class. I lifted weights and got down to 240, but it wasn't interesting to me at all. I think boxing will do the trick and it is probably more enjoyable then just lifting.

qbsolutely. . . in fact, most of the more dedicated boxing gyms make you come in during certain hours, and you have to follow "their" routine. . This way you can go in whenever you want (around your classes, etc.), and do your own workouts. . . Youtube a few videos for boxing workouts (a lot of good coaches have regimens up), and then just follow them. . . You're not trying to be a professional boxer, right? Just want to do it to exercise. .
