I love how anti social gyms are, like no one ever talks to anyone.
People look genuinely shocked if I ask for a lift of a bar from ground on to a rack to save stripping it..... and no its not due to the massive amount of weight on the bar.

Yeah i know what you mean. Some people just like to put their earphones in and get into the zone. Most people do make themselves unapproachable.

"keep punching through the pain and it eventually goes away"

Bull**** does it, it hurts like hell when you are done and you can't train for a few days. No pain no gain is true to some things, but its best to rest and recover and come back stronger in a day or two.

you do realise that protein is protein don't you? there is no such thing as low fat protein.
meat is a protein source, same with yoghurt etc. there's also other things in there too though, such as carbohydrates, fat, various vitamins and minerals, water etc etc.
you can certainly have low fat protein sources (for example as you say very lean meat) but "low fat protein" just doesn't make sense.

My old gym (fitness/weights gym i mean) was full of pop stars (posing maggots!) but had a ton of honey's too, new gym is full of good lads who know their stuff but like a laugh, some good fighters there too as it has a boxing/MMA room attached which is perfect for me. I dont even hardly ever hit the boxing club now as the best trainer usually heads up to my gym and there is plenty of good fighters and guys from the club around for sparring and mitt work anyway

One problem about the sausage fest aside from no eye candy is that nobody is trying to impress so u have all these big guys on high protein diets dropping rancid farts at will!
