  • UK guys - Good High protein snack -------->

You can buy this in Sainsburys or also directly from http://bundu-biltong.com/

    Energy - 240Kcal
    Protein - 46G!!!!!!
    Carbohydrates - 2.7G carbs (2.4G sugars)
    Fat - 5.2G
    Fibre -0.9G
    Sodium - 1.3G

If any of you are shedding some weight and want a good high protein snack you can carry around in your gym bag etc it's a decent alternative to a protein bar (which i personally can't stand). Its real meat and packs in high protein and low everything else. You could split the bag into 2 snacks, each only 120 kcal but packing in 23G protein and filling you up more then a protein shake

I found them a few weeks back. I'm sitting around 14/15% body fat so I'm not too worried about losing weight, but they are a damn tasty snack to boot

        Never had beef jerky before.

I got really into it when I was in California for a little over a month. You can get it in kinda little huts on the side of roads near the Sierra Nevada Range.... its awesome.

Can I just say you should try have a 2:1 ratio straight after exercise in favour of carbohydrate. Ideally half fast and half slow release.

even better - and cheaper (at least in my opinion) is some canned sardines.

I usually mix glucose-c ( http://www.boots.com/en/Boots-Glucose-C-454g_12534/ ) in with some protein powder and drink away. cheap and does the job

Sardines and Mackerel are great, but not always convenient when you are out and about. You can't beat sardines & tabasco
