thanks i will. just got back from a walk/jog session, only 20 minutes, i have a loooonnng way to go to get in shape.

skip a rope for 10 minutes straight. The burn that you will feel is the burn that you will need to fall in love with, because it will be with you your whole career. Best thing to do is learn to deal with it first, then learn to push yourself through it. Pain is something that you will have to learn to except and work through in this sport. Be it you just got cracked in your nose by a solid right hand or be it training with the repetitive use of a sore muscle, in this sport you must learn to love that pain.
when your feet get tangled in the rope don't even stress. Just get the rope right and get back into your rythme. 10 minutes on the rope should show you what you're getting yourself into. Now just picture somebody beating the **** out of you while your jumping that rope. I'm not trying to scare you off, I'm just letting you know that you will have to be strong. In the body as well as the mind. This rope exercise will pit your mind against your body. Your body will send messages to your brain saying that you can't take the burn, that you need to drop your rope and rest for a second. Your brain, at those times, must send the message back that you can do more and that you want to grow strong. Just get the rope and all of this will make sense.
