  • starting boxing soon some questions

im going to start training soon i found a gym and hopefully within the next month. i am out of shape and would like to get in shape or at least start getting in shape before i start my training. i was looking at the insainty workout. would that be a good workout to get me started. i am 20 years old female and a little underweight, have been my whole life just cant seem to gaine weight. i was also wondering if there is a site or some advice for nutrition. thank you guys in advanced.

Start running and I'm sure that workout would only help you get in shape. Being light is good for boxing so I would not worry about that.

run and maintain a good diet, if you want to eat meat go for fish, chicken breast or turkey, fruits eat oranges bananas and the jazz...vegetables etc

most of the stamina you will build is from sparring, mitt work and skipping

Id start running, just as far as u can manage. Build on that, the fitness comes fairly quickly and just be aware u will be sore for days after a good run or workout initially but dont despair the body gets used to it and the pain stops after a short while of training. If u are really not used to exercise it might even make u feel sick afterwards but keep at it, it will pass. Listen to your coach and try to do a bit more each session.

U will need plenty of carbs to keep u going, fruits, cereals, rice ect...
