The most unproductive meetings I have ever been apart of in my life. Mind you, it's me the young guy and well known veterans I won't name. 1 particular day I got fed up. We were discussing how to build a champion via training. I started naming skills they should have. A former Olympic Gold Medalist and fellow co worker was killing me in the meeting. He said basically my answer was bs and all a fighter needs is heart. Of course I responded with plenty of fighters with heart get their ass whooped. Finally after this debate a consultant(wtf) comes to me after the meeting and says "Barry, your right but he is a Gold medalist" Basically telling me to defer to him... Um.....needless to say that was not the program for me as a trainer. I'm about winning not politics. After I leave this program, I'm told the guy is now using my techniques that were literally laughed at.. So my point is, I have a real low tolerance for old people that think they are smart because of their age when it comes to teaching.

Moral of the story. Listen to your coach but still watch fights analytically and keep an open mind.
Maybe it was your attitude that made him reluctant to validate your POV.

Like right now, I'm hesitant to agree with you almost entirely because you come off really whiny and ME ME ME.

Maybe you're like Floyd Mayweather and you can get away with an attitude because you have once-in-a-generation skills.

But statistically speaking, you probably don't have those type of skills. In which case, that attitude will only serve to alienate people, whether you're right or not.

Barry, you seem like a very nice guy. I've watched a few of your promo videos and it looks like you know what you're doing. But you come across a bit like you're advertising your product and not willing to assist anyone here without them buying your dvd or whatever it is you're selling.

And I'd be tempted to purchase them because they are reasonably priced and like i said it seems like you know what you're doing... However you're just not giving me enough, if a question is asked you dodge it and in your promo videos i feel like i'm watching highlights and not getting even a hint of what your philosophy or the "cool and new" things you'll teach me.

What I say may hurt you're feelings but i'm trying to believe in you and not just discredit you as an elixer salesman. So if you could just participate in the conversation a bit and maybe give in and answer a question or two, that'd be awesome. You open with something very insightful, and when asked further questions you just dodge them. Also the vibe comes across as "Don't buy the gold medalists videos, buy mine, he discredited me and now uses my tactics, don't buy the popular guys videos, buy my underground videos... however i won't back this statement up with examples, if you'd like to see those or hear those examples send me $xx.95"

So please... it sounds like you have alot of things to contribute to the community, a community that would support you, and probably has supported you up to this point, but on this forum you're new and haven't proven yourself, so if you could just open up a bit, i'm sure you won't come off a little "scammy" like you kind of are right now.

too deep. its just a story about my experiences as a professional boxing coach. In fact I didnt try to sell anything. You mentioned sales. I won't share and people here please don't buy my dvd. Anyone that knows me is familiar with my line of work. I make my money traveling and doing seminars globally. Not from boxingscene.com. It is true im not familiar with the rules of forums or the etiquette but I have been to church so i understand. WHITE FLAG/THREW IN THE TOWEL. I'm done with the forum until I understand it better. Peace
